The Sustainable Agriculture Lab Assistant will be responsible for assisting the full-time faculty and farm manager with training, safety, operation, and maintenance of farm equipment, specifically the saws, drills, and other tools used by students during labs.

Essential Duties

  • Assists with lab setup

  • Assists instructor with teaching students to use farm equipment

  • Assists instructor with lab safety (saws, drills)

  • Assists with care of farm equipment

  • Recognizing and respecting the variety of experiences and contributions represented by all of our students, employees, and community, the Sustainable Agriculture Lab Assistant will encourage a learning environment where everyone is supported and valued for their unique perspectives and experiences, and will foster and promote the participation of all members of our diverse communities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to life 25 pounds

  • Ability to work outside

Preferred Requirements

  • Graduate of the program or previous farm experience
