Job Description

A growing and well-established manufacturing organization in the Raleigh, NC area is seeking a

Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on role focused on improving equipment performance,

driving efficiency, and supporting new product and automation initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for someone who

enjoys being on the floor, solving real-world problems, and making a measurable impact on production and cost.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, components, and equipment
  • Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives across production
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement long-term solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and engineering)
  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production
  • Optimize plant layouts, workflows, and equipment utilization
  • Work with vendors and integrators on equipment upgrades and installations
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and SOPs

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems and equipment
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, CI, or process improvement methodologies
  • Exposure to automation, robotics, or production equipment is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred if you also have these skills but not a requirement

  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment or automated systems
  • Background in plant layout, tooling, or equipment design
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean principles
