Bachelor or Master’s Degree with one year experience in education, communication, or management related field.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office tools; familiarity with banner or similar university applications are desirable but not required as long as willing to learn;
- Possess good organizational skills, detail oriented and follow directions/instructions;
- Ability to work independently as well as be part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively.

Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position
The Program Coordinator is expected to coordinate the Summer Transportation Institute (STI), work force development tasks, and various scholarship programs as directed by the Director of Transportation Institute. The Program coordinator is also expected to provide administrative support to the Director of Transportation, management of sponsored program, and activities of this interdisciplinary research unit. Coordinates financial and contract activities, recommends policy changes for internal operations, supervises student assistants, program scholars, and support staff assigned to the unit.
The position is expected to include some travel each year, including national conferences, outreach efforts, and individual or team data collection trips.

- Coordinate with faculty members, administrators, students and staff to monitor progress of Unit activities;
