What We Offer

As Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), Operating Room at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, you’ll help lead a highly skilled, patient-centered surgical services team within one of the region’s most advanced and fast-paced perioperative environments. This role offers the opportunity to support a complex Operating Room department consisting of 16 OR suites, including 3 dedicated CVOR rooms, while overseeing Neurosurgery, Vascular, and ENT service lines.

In this role, you’ll provide both clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level, supporting daily operations, staffing coordination, case scheduling, throughput, and service line oversight while helping ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care.

You’ll join a collaborative Surgical Services leadership team that values teamwork, physician partnership, operational excellence, and exceptional patient care. This leader will support approximately 45 direct reports, including Clinical Coordinators, Lead Techs, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technologists, and OR Assistants, while helping ensure each service line has the resources and support needed for success.

As a visible and approachable leader, you’ll help foster a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, critical thinking, and mentorship while supporting both team member engagement and patient satisfaction initiatives. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strong operational leadership with a supportive, relationship-focused approach.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse leader with Operating Room experience who is passionate about mentorship, team development, and supporting high-performing surgical teams within a nationally recognized Magnet-designated organization. Candidates with Neurosurgery, Spine, Vascular, or ENT experience are strongly preferred.

This position may be eligible for relocation.


What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications.
  • Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
