Position Summary

The primary function of this position is to learn and develop skills in safely maintaining and repairing battery manufacturing equipment while meeting established productivity and quality standards.

The Pre-Apprentice will learn aspects of production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety standards at all times
  • Learn & demonstrate knowledge of the processes and skills required to move into an Apprentice role.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills by identifying and developing solutions to address challenges.
  • Demonstrate ownership and willingness to continuously improve self and area of accountability that will enhance safety, quality, organization, and productivity
  • Comply with the terms of the Youth Employment Certificate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We we are looking for

  • High school students in Randolph County, NC, including those from public, private, charter, online, and homeschool programs
  • 2.8 Grade Point Average (Unweighted) - NOTE: if below a 2.8 GPA, additional college classes may be necessary-
  • Successfully completed Math I, II and III (Precalculus desired)
  • Attend a company open house with a parent/guardian
  • Perform essential functions listed for each AAS degree listed on the Technical Standards tab:

Total Rewards Package

The pay rate for this position is up to USD $14.00/Hr. per hour
